Many couples invite a second wave of guests to join the evening wedding reception, and Tern Hill Hall makes it easy. With space for up to 240 guests, free parking and 12 en-suite bedrooms for those staying over, your evening arrivals will feel every bit as welcome as those who’ve been with you all day.

We’ll help you plan timings so the transition feels natural, from the arrival of evening guests to the cutting of the cake and your first dance.

Evening Wedding Reception Food Your Guests Will Talk About

Evening reception food should be relaxed, generous and a little bit fun. Choose one option to cater for all your evening guests:

Drinks and the Evening Bar

Start the celebrations with one of our three drinks packages, from £20 to £24 per person. Each includes your choice of two reception drinks, a glass of house wine with the meal and a glass of prosecco for the toast. Upgrade options include a gin bar, rum bar, Aperol spritz and English Garden cocktail.

For the evening:

Cash bar, where guests buy their own drinks
A bar tab up to an amount you set
Soft drinks for younger guests and drivers, including Fentimans and sparkling elderflower
A 5-litre Kilner dispenser of fruit cordial (about 20 servings) for £30

The bar is open until 11ish, and our team will help you decide what works best for your numbers and budget.
