Your Wedding Day at Tern Hill Hall: An Itinerary

Pre-Wedding Preparation

The Bridal Suite is available from 11:30 am, giving you time to relax, sip something sparkling, and prepare for the day in comfort and style. Your hair and makeup team are very welcome, and if needed, we can recommend trusted local professionals to help you look and feel your best.

The Ceremony

Your ceremony begins from 1:00 pm, set within the elegant surroundings of Tern Hill Hall. Whether you choose an intimate indoor setting or a romantic outdoor space, your dedicated Wedding Coordinator will ensure everything runs smoothly, working closely with your registrar or celebrant.

Drinks Reception

After the vows, your guests can enjoy a relaxed drinks reception in our beautiful grounds or elegant dining room, depending on the weather and your preferences.

Our standard reception package includes a choice of arrival drinks, bottled beer, Pimms, or prosecco, followed by house red or white wine with the meal, and prosecco to toast.

Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast is typically served around 2.5 hours after the ceremony, giving you time for photos and mingling.

Most couples opt for the Orangery, which we can transform after your civil ceremony, or we can expand into the Ballroom for larger celebrations. Intimate gatherings may prefer the Dining Room.

You’ll select from our extensive menu, allowing you to create a dining experience that reflects your tastes.

Speeches and toasts are best delivered after the meal, just before tea and coffee, the perfect moment to share a few heartfelt words.

Photos & Memories

Tern Hill Hall offers a picture-perfect backdrop at every turn, from the romantic gardens and sunset-lit fields to the iconic staircase and the Bridal Suite mirror.

Evening Reception

The celebration continues with your evening reception, beginning around 7:00–7:30pm.

Dance the night away in the Ballroom, or combine it with the Orangery for larger guest lists.

We can recommend DJs and live music to suit your style, and for late-night energy, we’re happy to arrange a snack or buffet to keep everyone going.

Accommodation & Farewell

We offer 12 double rooms, with space for up to 4 additional children’s beds, comfortably accommodating up to 28 overnight guests.

The next morning, enjoy a group breakfast with your guests, a lovely way to reflect on the day together.

Checkout is at 10:00 am.
